4 Modalities
The port and industrial complex has four important transport modalities at its disposal.
The Moerdijk port is a seaport located between the main ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp. Moerdijk is also a node in the large European inland waterways the Rhine, Maas and Scheldt.
Transport over water is an efficient, clean, safe and traffic jam free alternative for the future, at low cost.
The stevedores Delta Marine Terminal B.V., Combined Cargo Terminal, Van der Vlist Terminal Moerdijk B.V., Transshipment Company Moerdijk B.V., Eurorijn International B.V. and the B.V. Seaport Company, Dordrecht, take care of the transshipment and storage of goods.

The port and industrial complex is connected to the (inter)national railway network and can be accessed via the highways A16 (Rotterdam–Breda–Antwerp), A59 (Zierikzee–Moerdijk– Den Bosch) and the A17 (Rotterdam–Roosendaal–Antwerp).
There are companies with their own rail connection and their own loading and unloading platforms, but there are also two public railway terminals.

The national pipeline route runs through the Moerdijk port and Industrial complex. It connects the ports of Rotterdam, Moerdijk, Zeeland and Antwerp and is further connected with the most important European industrial centres.

In short, the Moerdijk port and industrial complex is a centrally located site offering many possibilities to transport goods to and from the Netherlands and from here onward to the European hinterland. Moerdijk is accessible via road, water and rail connections and is located on the international pipeline route. This puts Moerdijk on the map as an international node.
